The USS Rankin Association's Fourteenth Annual Reunion will be held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, from September 28-October 2, 2017. Reunion Headquarters will be the Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg/Hershey. The reunion will run from Thursday through Sunday, with a banquet on Sunday evening. Departure is on Monday, October 2.
The reunion will include optional tours of Amish country, the Gettysburg museum and battlefield, and chocolate town Hershey, Pennsylvania. Three Mile Island does not allow visitors, but the site is easily visible from the air or from a tour bus.
The USS Yancey (AKA-93) reunion group will join us at this reunion, as they have for the past three years. The Yancey has its own web site with information about their reunion.
Also invited to join us this year are shipmates and guests from three ships that were left without reunions by the sudden closing of Premiere Reunion Services/Military Locator and Reunion Services:
Other amphibious ships are also invited to join us
We used Premiere up until 2012. Our reunions since then have been better and more enjoyable, particularly with better-stocked hospitality rooms, more time for cameraderie and sea stories, and much better photos and memory books. We look forward to providing the same for all who attend this reunion.
Our hotel is an economical $119 per night double occupancy, $109 single, including Breakfast. Click HERE or on the image below to see full information about the hotel, the tours and the reunion events, including a registration form with all the prices...
